The newer M2 chip does make lighter work of thinks like video editing and rendering, but for general use, the 2020 MacBook Pro remains a very solid compact laptop. In terms of design, it's really the same laptop. It's since been superseded by the 2022 M2 device above, but people who don't need that processing boost for particularly demanding work might prefer to hunt out a MacBook Pro deal on this earlier device.
This 2020 model was the first MacBook to get Apple's own silicon.
